Why Does SFR Lubricant & Penetrating Oil reduce friction so much compared to other products on the market such as CRC,, WD-40, SeaFoam?
SFR is the only product that contains Extreme Pressure Agents that reduce friction by 5 times over the brands mentioned. Extreme Pressure Agents are complex additives that literally attach to the metal and are resident at all times. When friction occurs the additives with their sacrificial film provide a barrier to protect metals from wear.
Why does SFR Lubricant dry on the surface whereas others I?ve use are wet; is the product evaporating off of the metal?
SFR uses a very highly refined light carrier for penetrating properties, it then dries on the metal leaving the extreme pressure additives actively on the surface of the metal. Most competitive products use a light oil that stays resident on the metal at all times, but offers very little anti-friction capabilities plus attracts dust, which accelerates wear.
How can SFR Lubricant be such a good penetrate as well as a lubricant?
SFR has a light refined carrier that acts as a penetrating oil. It is highly refined and has a flash point that makes it non-flammable. Most competitive products use mineral spirits that are flammable as they are cheap and are very light for penetration. Safety is always a major influence in our formulations, thus we only use non-flammable base oils for our extreme pressure agents. This is why SFR not only penetrates but is a true lubricant.
Why can I use less SFR Lubricant than other brands?
Because SFR will take 5 times the pressure that leading competitive products will take, its much more concentrated with additives thus you can use far less and have better penetration, cleaning and friction reduction. SFR products are all designed for as little impact on the environment as possible thus it is very concentrated.
