Why Do I Need to Use the Engine Oil Booster?
For years marketers of engine treatments have made statements like their product lasts for up to 50,000 miles. Unfortunately, not one company ever was able to clearly quantify how long their product would last. There is no data, none, nada! SFR Corporation, has always sold their products differently. With different engine conditions and tolerances no one can categorically say how long their engine treatment will last beyond one oil change. For this reason, SFR has developed ProTecta Engine Oil Booster to be used after the initial installation of ProTecta Engine Treatment. They are similar products, but are not the same. ProTecta Engine Oil Booster not only treats the metal with an ?inter-metallic? coasting but also is multi-functional in that it has additives found in motor oil to enhance motor oils performance. It is no secret that additives get depleted or used up over time and can no longer do their job. Also, when you change your oil you dump any additives. For this reason, we know that it is important to use the ProTecta Engine Oil Booster after each oil change to replace lost ?inter-metallic compounds? that treat the metal and concentrated additives to improve the motor oils performance. The Engine Oil Booster is a one quart, 32 ounce bottle that will treat up to five (5) oil changes at an in-expensive price. This way you are getting full protection on each and every oil change, rather than wondering if the competitors treatment has worn off of critical parts with tight tolerances.
Are Additives really Needed?
Taken right out of the American Petroleum Institutes Motor Oil Guide this is what the foremost authority says on the subject. ?Solutions to the difficult and varied problems of today?s engines have come through the development of chemical compounds (additives) blended in to selected high-quality base oils. A straight mineral oil, (includes synthetic base oils as well) does not provide satisfactory lubrication for these engines. It has taken a great deal of time, money, and research to develop these additives and to determine the correct additive balance for today?s oils. Engine tests have been devised to measure the performance of oils in the kinds of service to which they will be exposed. These chemical additives have different functions and are of different types. In general, however they fall into the categories discussed in the following?: Pour Point Depressants, Oxidation and Bearing Corrosion Inhibitors, Rust and Corrosion Inhibitors, Detergent/Dispersant Additives, Foam Inhibitors, Viscosity Index Improvers, Extreme Pressure Additives, and Friction Modifiers. Whenever the API sanctions a new motor oil warranty category it always contains more additives than the previous category. Sometimes due to catalytic devices and emission concerns additives required will change. In other words, it?s the additives that perform the work, not the mineral or synthetic base oil! Marketers that tell you not to use additives are selling their own products and want you to think that there is nothing better than their product. This is why at SFR Corporation we not only provide Extreme Pressure Agents, which are not found in any motor--oil but recommended as needed by the API, but fully fortify your motor oil for better cleaning, temperature control, corrosion protection etc. FACT: On Sequence Testing that each motor oil manufacturer must pass to be able to utilize the API certification for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) requirements, if the test is failed twice and passed once the manufacturer does not have to reformulate and can go on. If the test is failed three times then they must reformulate.
